The Process
01.
Contact Me
Fill out the form on the Book Now page and let me know the type of session you're interested in, and what dates work for you. I'll contact you to get your session scheduled! We will also discuss and agree upon a location in advance.

Book a Session
A $50 retainer is due upfront to book your session date and time. The remainder of the price will be due the day of the shoot. I'll send you an invoice via email, and you can pay by cash/check, card, or Venmo.
03.
Let's Shoot!
We will meet 15 minutes prior to the session at our agreed-upon location. Come dressed and ready for the shoot! Bring any props or outfit changes that we discussed ahead of time, and get ready for a fun and relaxed time.
04.
Photo Delivery
I guarantee photo delivery within 2 weeks of your session. You will receive an email link to your digital gallery where you can download your retouched, high-resolution photos, and have the option to order prints directly from the Print Shop!
FAQ
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL / RESCHEDULE?
I'm happy to refund your $50 retainer or put it towards a a new session if you contact me at least 48 hours before your scheduled session.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
How you dress for your photos is key to getting timeless images that you love! Try to stick to a specific color pallet without being too matchy, and avoid bright colors or busy patterns. Solid, neutral colors and simple patterns are best - wear something that fits well and makes you feel comfortable & confident. For more tips and examples, see my Style Guide.
HOW DO I PICK A LOCATION?
If you're not sure how to choose a location, I have many suggestions and am happy to help you pick. Let me know the vibe you're looking for - desert? urban? something more classic? Also, if you have a specific location request let me know and I'd be happy to consider it (as long as there's enough space and good lighting for optimal photos)!
I DON’T FEEL VERY CONFIDENT IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA, IS THAT OKAY?
Don't worry! As the photographer, it's my job to help you relax and bring out your personality. Most people aren't models and don't have much prior experience in front of the camera. My style is less about posing, and more about directing you so you can look your best and most natural. Just come dressed in what makes you feel confident, and I'll do the rest!
HOW CAN I PREPARE MY KIDS FOR FAMILY PICTURES?
Preparing your littles before the session can make a big difference in your photos. Let your kids know beforehand that you'll be taking pictures, and let them know it'll be fun! Bring snacks, a toy, or whatever you may need to keep them engaged and smiling! If you want to be extra prepared, bring a backup outfit for babies and toddlers, just in case.
CAN I BRING A FRIEND TO MY SESSION?
Yes, feel free to bring a friend to be your hype person! In fact, it's a great idea in case you have props or outfits - they can help carry things, and/or hold your children and help make them smile. 😉
DO I GET TO SELECT THE IMAGES?
There can be hundreds of images taken within a single one-hour session. Part of my job is to sort through all the images post-shoot, and make final selections for you. I choose the most flattering images that I think you'll love, then edit and deliver those (I don't select any duplicates, blinking shots, out of focus images, sneezes, talking shots, etc!).
CAN YOU DO A CUSTOM SESSION?
Yes! If the session types I offer don't match what you're looking for, don't hesitate to contact me and tell me exactly what you need. I can always do a shorter or longer session with as many outfits and locations as you want, whether you're looking for family, portrait, couple or any other type of photos. I can give you a quote for a custom session based on your needs.
DO YOU SELL PRINTS?
Yes! My gallery site offers print options for all clients. My session fee covers the photo shoot and all digital files, which you can download at high resolution with full printing rights. You can then order prints directly from the online gallery, including holiday cards, canvases, albums and more. Pay through my gallery site, and the lab will ship your order directly to you. DO YOU SHOOT WEDDINGS?
Currently no, I am not booking weddings. However, I do shoot engagement sessions as well as other small events. Fill out a form on the contact page if you have an inquiry for coverage of a specific event, including the date, location, and time frame. I am also available to second shoot if you're a photographer who needs an assistant!
